Apps Store listing short links

The Odoo Apps Store rewrites every link inside a module’s description into plain, unclickable text, so OdoMate can’t print a working link there. Instead its listings carry a short link in the form odomate.pro/m/<slug> — short enough to retype by hand — and a module’s Website field, which the store does render as a real link, points at the same kind of short link.

  1. Printed in the description, for example odomate.pro/m/kinds — the store shows this as plain text, so you type it into your browser yourself.
  2. As a QR code on the listing, encoding the same link with ?v=qr added. Scanning it opens the link directly.
  3. As the listing’s Website link, with ?v=site added — the one link on the page that’s actually clickable.

All three point to the same module; only the tag OdoMate uses to tell them apart differs.

The link redirects immediately — there’s no interstitial page — and it always lands you on OdoMate’s site, scrolled to the same Request beta access form covered in Requesting beta access. It’s the same form as every other Request beta access button on the site; arriving through a listing link doesn’t change what it asks or skip you ahead in the queue.

Following a listing link is how OdoMate knows a request came from its Apps Store presence rather than somewhere else. That attribution only reaches OdoMate’s analytics if you’ve accepted the Analytics category in the cookie banner — see Privacy and cookie consent for what the banner controls and how to change your answer. Declining analytics doesn’t stop the redirect or the request form from working; it only means this visit isn’t counted in the traffic OdoMate’s team looks at.
