Managing team members

The team dashboard lists everyone on your team. This page covers the two actions that change who’s on it: an owner removing a member, and a member leaving on their own.

Only the team’s owner can remove someone else. On the dashboard’s Members card, the owner sees a Remove button on every row except their own.

  1. Open the team dashboard.
  2. Find the member’s row in the Members card and select Remove.
  3. Confirm in the dialog: Remove <email> from the team?

Removal is immediate — there’s no confirmation email and no undo. The person loses access to the team’s shared GitHub connection right away, and can be invited back later if needed.

Anyone on a team except its owner can leave it whenever they want. On the dashboard’s Members card, your own row shows a Leave team button instead of the owner’s Remove control.

  1. Open the team dashboard.
  2. Find your own row in the Members card and select Leave team.
  3. Confirm in the dialog: Leave this team?

Leaving is immediate: you lose access to the team’s shared GitHub connection, and the dashboard now tells you that you don’t belong to a team — see requesting a team if you want to join or start another one.
