Sharing feedback
Whatever you’re doing in OdoMate, there’s a way to report a problem or suggest an improvement without losing your place — including a problem with a module you generated. The feedback control is part of the signed-in app shell, so it’s always within reach: you don’t need to remember a URL or leave the page you’re on.
Opening the feedback dialog
Section titled “Opening the feedback dialog”- On desktop, look at the bottom of the sidebar for the Feedback icon. On mobile, open the More sheet from the bottom navigation bar and tap Feedback.
- A dialog opens with a text box and, if you’ve generated a module in the last 7 days, a picker for which one (if any) your report is about.
- Write what happened or what you’d improve, then select Send.
Reporting a problem with a specific module
Section titled “Reporting a problem with a specific module”If you’re already looking at a module — on its card in the modules library — use its Report issue button instead of the sidebar control. It opens the same dialog, but scoped to that module: the picker is replaced with a read-only line naming the module and version, so there’s no chance of attaching your report to the wrong one.
What’s attached automatically
Section titled “What’s attached automatically”You never have to describe where you were or what you were looking at — the dialog attaches it for you:
- The page URL, your interface language, and your browser viewport size.
- If your report is scoped to a module, its build details (generation outcome, validation status, and sandbox database) aren’t captured when you send the report — they’re read from the module’s current record only if your report is followed up on, so anything referenced later reflects the module’s state at that time, not a snapshot from when you clicked Send.
Writing your report
Section titled “Writing your report”The text box takes up to 4,000 characters — plenty for describing a bug or a suggestion, not a place to paste a full conversation transcript.
To add a screenshot, select Attach screenshots below the text box and choose one or more image files. Attachments are capped at 3 files, 5 MB each, and must be PNG, JPEG, or WebP — anything else, or anything larger, is rejected on selection, before anything uploads. Select the × next to a file’s name to remove it before sending; nothing is uploaded until you select Send.
After you submit
Section titled “After you submit”Sending clears the dialog and shows a confirmation toast. If you attached a report to a module, open that module and choose Activity to see reports filed against it, including each report’s issue number and status and the count still open. This list is specific to that module. To send another report, open Feedback again.
